Calling all bookworms: so much to read and so little time

Want something to read, but don’t want to hoof it to George Mason Library (which will soon close for two years)? Check out Hillbrook-Tall Oaks’ two little libraries. A second “little library” has just been donated by Absolon and Thuraya Kent.

Located at 6832 Pacific Lane, this new library is a double decker, stuffed with interesting reading material. It is dedicated to the memory of Patricia Kent and Malcolm Kent and their love of learning and people. This facility has official Little Free Library status (Charter #234818) issued on October 1, 2026. Visit absolonkent.net/little-free-library to learn more.

This new library unit complements the existing HTOCA little library situated on Cindy Lane at the Hillbrook Drive cul-de-sac. It was erected by and is managed by Jackie McCarthy, who resides at 7035 Cindy Lane. Check them out.

The idea behind the Little Free Library program is simple: take a book, leave a book. There is no sign-up, no due date, and no fee. The shelves hold books for readers of all ages. Remember, when done, return the book to the little library so others may enjoy it.
