FAIRFAX COUNTY UPDATE (January 30, 2026 at 10 am): VDOT clears major roads first, so neighborhood streets, cul-de-sacs, and low-traffic areas may be treated later. In many cases, residential roads are cleared only enough for a single travel lane and may remain icy or snow-packed. If you think your street was missed, you can report it to VDOT at my.vdot.virginia.gov. Snowplows may leave snow near driveways due to limited space, and in Fairfax County, property owners are responsible for clearing sidewalks. Please use caution when shoveling and help neighbors when it’s safe to do so.
