Hillbrook-Tall Oaks to Support AHS Food Pantry Drive March 24–April 6

This Spring marks the fourth year for the Hillbrook-Tall Oaks community food collection drive to support Annandale High School’s Food Pantry

ANNANDALE, Va. — Because this year has been especially challenging for many families in our area, making it difficult for them to meet their basic needs, the Hillbrook Tall Oaks community, in collaboration with the Annandale High School’s Food Pantry, will conduct a Food Drive from March 24 to April 6.

The primary objective of the pantry is to combat food insecurity, however, they also aim to provide other essential items such as cleaning supplies and household goods to help families manage their limited budgets and improve their living conditions.

This year, the top 10 items requested by the panty volunteers include:

  • Dish/dishwasher detergent
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Hand soap
  • Laundry detergent
  • Multipurpose spray
  • Paper towels
  • Sponges
  • Tissues
  • Toilet paper
  • Non-perishable food

Last year our neighborhood donated nearly 800 items to the Food Pantry, and we would love to do as well again this year.

Several families around the neighborhood have volunteered to be drop-off locations for donations, so please consider making a donation at the following locations:

  • 6814 Cherry Lane
  • 4910 Dodson Drive
  • 4905 Kingston Drive
  • 6832 Pacific Lane
  • 6821 Winter Lane
