    In January 2025, a truck lost control on snowy Little River Turnpike and slid into the HILLBROOK monument sign. Replacement of the sign has been blocked by the Virginia Department of Transportation, which controls the property, until sidewalk construction and water pipe rerouting is completed in 2027.
